The main cooling circuit must be closed.
Also, thermostats with direct heat exchange are indispensable in cases where it is necessary to significantly increase the pressure locally on the consumer - for example, on a large mold - such thermostats are called booster.

In thermostats with an indirect heat exchanger, heat transfer is carried out through a heat exchanger. Such thermocontrollers are mainly used in cases where the consumer’s coolant temperature is much higher than the temperature of the coolant. Also, the use of water thermostats with indirect heat transfer is necessary when it is necessary to separate the consumer circuit operating on clean water and the cooling circuit operating on a mixture of water with ethylene / propylene glycol.
