When molding plastic under pressure, stringent requirements are imposed for observing the dimensional accuracy of the finished product. The mold is the last link in the production chain on which plastic products are directly molded. Forming equipment, depending on temperature, can change its size, narrow and expand, which leads to the rejection of polymer products. In addition, some brands of polymers, in order to uniformly fill the mold, require preliminary heating of the equipment. These reasons make it necessary to maintain the mold in a predetermined range of operating temperatures, for which purpose specialized equipment is used — a thermostat or a temperature controller.
